Its been snowy and cold up here in the North Carolina mountains and Ive spent a lot of time playing a variety of winter sports of which disc golf is not one. My practice has been limited to putting in my garage and a few trips to the field to test out some new discs that Innova has sent me. Look out for the Groove, its the heat!
First event since winter hit:
Ashe County Ice Bowl Feb 21st.
I might be playing left handed because I seriously burned my right hand and fingertips but I will be there either way.
Great course, great event, great cause!
From there the season really starts with some sanctioned events and my hand should be 100%.
March 21-22 Supertour Carolina Clash in Charlotte at Renaissance and Hornets Nest

March 28-29 Virginia Team Invitational
This event is arguably my favorite event of the year. It draws the best players on the East Coast for an intense weekend of match play. Its not about money, its about bragging rights! Last year fellow huk lab team members Avery Jenkins and Dave Feldberg were flown in to help the home team. I'll be playing for the fourth year as a member of the Raleigh Area Disc League. I am playing the Open #2 seed and the competition will be fierce. I havent lost in 2 years and don't plan on making this year any different. Can't wait for a great event on one of my favorite courses, Hawk Hollow.
I'll post some updates once these events happen. Best of luck to everyone on tour. Can't wait to see old friends and meet new ones!
